The flat plate at 17 cm is for wet food and for cats that hate sides. The shallow bowl at 13.7 cm is the everyday one. The raised bowl at 12 cm stands about 9 cm tall and suits an older cat that would rather not stoop.

All three are the same glaze and the same painted meadow, so they sit together as a set if you buy more than one.

Which shape should I choose?

Flat plate for wet food or a fussy eater, shallow bowl for everyday dry food, raised bowl for an older cat or one that eats standing rather than crouching.

Are the three the same size?

No. The flat plate is the widest at 17 cm, the shallow bowl is 13.7 cm, and the raised bowl is the smallest across at 12 cm but the tallest at about 9 cm.

Any special care?

Ceramic is glazed and wipes clean. Hand washing keeps the glaze and any painted detail looking new longest. Check for chips now and then — a chipped rim is sharp and is the point to retire a bowl.

How accurate are the measurements?

Every piece is finished by hand, so allow a little variation in size and in the exact shade of the glaze. Ceramic is like that; it is not a fault.

Free shipping on every order. Tracking is sent as soon as your parcel ships. Ceramic travels wrapped — tell us straight away if anything arrives chipped and we will replace it.

30-day returns. Items must be unused and in their original packaging. Email support@thetinypet.com to start a return.

Sizing. Measure your pet nose to base of tail and compare with the measurements in the description. Breed names are a poor guide - two dogs of the same breed can be 4 kg apart.

Washing. Beds and blankets are machine washable unless the description says otherwise. Wash covers separately, warm not hot, and tumble dry low so the filling keeps its shape.

Introducing something new. Change food gradually over about a week, mixing an increasing share of the new food in. Put a new bed where the old one was rather than somewhere better.

Safety. Supervise play with plush and rope toys, and put wand toys away between sessions. No toy is indestructible.
