All-in-One Pet Feeder & Waterer: 2.3 L Food, 1.3 L Water, No Power Needed
Regular price $59.00

Gravity feeder & waterer

Both bowls, filled by gravity. Nothing to plug in.

One side holds 2.3 litres of dry food, the other 1.3 litres of filtered water. Both top themselves up as your pet empties the bowl — no motor, no pump, no batteries and no cable to hide. It is a hopper and a siphon, which is also why there is nothing in it to break.

At a glance

Six things it does

Feature summary: 1.3 L and 2.3 L capacity, automatic refill, anti-clog feeder, dual food and water, dry and wet zones, ceramic bowl

The water side

Fill the bottle, leave it for the week

The tank runs on a siphon: it only lets water go as the level in the bowl drops, so the bowl holds a steady depth instead of flooding the floor. On the way in, the water passes a cartridge of coconut-shell activated carbon, an ion-exchange resin and nano filter cotton — carbon for taste and odour, resin for hardness, cotton for grit.

1.3 litres is roughly a week for one cat. A dog, or a second cat, gets through it faster, so check it every couple of days rather than trusting the week. The cartridge lifts out for replacement; how often depends on your tap water.

The bowls

Ceramic for food, a hair trap for water

The food bowl is detachable ceramic and dishwasher safe. Cats in particular do better off plastic — scratched plastic holds bacteria and is the usual suspect behind feline chin acne, the black specks people call black chin.

The water bowl takes a two-layer floating filter that catches hair and dust at the surface before it sinks. It lifts straight out to rinse.

The food gate

Slide it up to free-feed, down to ration

Gate up and the hopper keeps the bowl topped up — the setting for a grazer, or for a weekend away. Gate down and the hopper seals: whatever is already in the bowl is the whole meal, which is how you portion a cat that would otherwise eat the lot.

Dry and wet, apart

A baffle down the middle

Water and dry food a few centimetres apart is normally a recipe for a bowl of porridge. A raised baffle runs between the two sides, so splashes stay on the water side and the kibble stays dry. The food outlet sits above the bowl rather than in it, so the hopper never stands in whatever is at the bottom.

Cleaning

It comes apart completely

Hopper, tank, bowls, filter and base all separate, so you can reach the corners where old food and biofilm actually collect. A feeder you cannot take apart turns into a smell within a month.

The ceramic bowl is dishwasher safe. Everything else is a rinse in warm soapy water — dry the hopper properly before refilling it.

The details

The bits you will actually touch

A window down the side of the hopper so you can see the level without opening the lid, the ceramic bowl that lifts out, and the gate in both positions. Everything that needs handling day to day is reachable without tools.

Kibble it handles

A 5.5 cm outlet, so it does not jam

Most gravity feeders choke on anything that is not a small round biscuit. This outlet is wide enough to pass the awkward shapes — including freeze-dried chunks, which are the usual culprit.

Food type Piece size Passes
Freeze-dried 10–20 mm Yes
Multi-mix 5–16 mm Yes
Extruded biscuit 5–16 mm Yes
Air-dried, flat Flat shapes Yes
Irregular Triangular, polygonal Yes
Wet or semi-moist — No — dry food only

In the real world

Not a render

Most of the photos above are studio shots. These two are not — a cat beside it for scale, and the unit as it is actually packed, in the plain carton it ships in.

Good to know

Questions people ask

Does it need power?

No. The food falls under its own weight and the water runs on a siphon. There is no motor, no pump and no batteries, so there is nothing to fail and nothing to unplug when you move it.

Can I use wet food in it?

No. The hopper is for dry food only — wet or semi-moist food packs into the outlet and spoils. The ceramic bowl on its own is fine for wet food if you lift it out and feed from it directly.

Will it keep filling the bowl while I am away?

Yes, with the gate up, until the hopper empties. It is a gravity feeder though, not a timer — it cannot ration meals or feed at set times. If your pet eats whatever is put in front of them, use the gate down and fill the bowl yourself.

How long does a full load last?

It depends on the animal. As a rough guide, 2.3 L of cat kibble is somewhere around two weeks for one cat, and the 1.3 L of water about one. Check both rather than relying on the numbers.

Is it stable enough for a big dog?

It is built for cats and small dogs. The base is wide and low, but a large dog shoving it will still move it, and at 25.5 cm the bowls sit low for a big breed.

How do I clean it?

It pulls apart completely. Ceramic bowl in the dishwasher, everything else in warm soapy water, and dry the hopper fully before you refill it.

Where do I get replacement filter cartridges?

Email us and we will sort you out. Change intervals depend on your water — every few weeks is a sensible default.

Sizing. Measure your pet nose to base of tail and compare with the measurements in the description. Breed names are a poor guide - two dogs of the same breed can be 4 kg apart.

Washing. Beds and blankets are machine washable unless the description says otherwise. Wash covers separately, warm not hot, and tumble dry low so the filling keeps its shape.

Introducing something new. Change food gradually over about a week, mixing an increasing share of the new food in. Put a new bed where the old one was rather than somewhere better.

Safety. Supervise play with plush and rope toys, and put wand toys away between sessions. No toy is indestructible.
