A food hopper that serves meals on a schedule you set once, and a water tank beside it that refills the bowl as your cat drinks — in about the floor space two ordinary bowls already take up. Choose the Button Edition and set it on the machine, or the Video Edition with dual-band Wi-Fi and a 180° camera so you can watch dinner happen from your phone.

Meals on a timetable

The larger hopper on the right drops kibble into the food bowl at the times you choose. The maker’s own app screenshot shows five meals set across one day, so small, regular portions are the idea rather than one big bowl in the morning.

It is built for dry food. Wet or semi-moist food packs into the outlet of every dispenser like this, not just this one.

Video Edition

See them eat, from anywhere

A 180° wide-angle camera sits above the food bowl, so the view takes in the bowl and the cat in front of it rather than a close-up of kibble.

Dual-band Wi-Fi means it connects to a 2.4 GHz or a 5 GHz network. That matters more than it sounds: plenty of Australian home routers now push devices onto 5 GHz, and single-band feeders simply refuse to join.

No app, no Wi-Fi, no camera

The same machine with buttons on the front instead of a camera. You set it up on the unit itself and it gets on with the job.

The right choice if you would rather not have a camera in the kitchen, if your Wi-Fi does not reach where the bowls live, or if you simply want fewer things to charge and update.

Questions people ask

What is the difference between the two editions?

The machine, the bowls and the water side are identical. The Video Edition adds dual-band Wi-Fi, an app for scheduling and a 180° camera over the food bowl. The Button Edition is set up on the machine itself and has no camera or Wi-Fi.

Can I put wet food in it?

No. Dry food only. Wet and semi-moist food sticks in the outlet of any automatic dispenser and turns into a blockage and a smell. If your cat is on wet food, this is not the feeder for them.

Does the water side filter the water?

No. It is a tank that keeps the bowl topped up, not a pumped fountain with a filter. Change the water every day or two and wash the bowl, the way you would with any water bowl — the tank just means it does not run dry in the meantime.

Will it work for two cats?

They can share it, but there is one food bowl and one water bowl, and the machine cannot tell cats apart. If one of them eats the other’s dinner, a feeder will not fix that.

Can I leave my cat with it while I go away?

For a long day or an overnight, yes. For a holiday, it is a help, not a replacement for someone calling in. Machines jam, cats knock bowls, and someone should see your cat with their own eyes every day or two.

Sizing. Measure your pet nose to base of tail and compare with the measurements in the description. Breed names are a poor guide - two dogs of the same breed can be 4 kg apart.

Washing. Beds and blankets are machine washable unless the description says otherwise. Wash covers separately, warm not hot, and tumble dry low so the filling keeps its shape.

Introducing something new. Change food gradually over about a week, mixing an increasing share of the new food in. Put a new bed where the old one was rather than somewhere better.

Safety. Supervise play with plush and rope toys, and put wand toys away between sessions. No toy is indestructible.
