Eight legs, every one of them bendable.
A soft plush body sits on your pet's back with four legs out either side. Each leg has wire running through it, so you can bend it into a crouch, a scuttle, or whatever reads best in the photo. It fastens with Velcro at the neck and chest — nothing to thread a paw through.

The body is short plush over a padded panel, and the whole costume weighs about 110 g. It goes on from above and comes off in a second, which matters when your pet has decided the party is over.
The legs stick out sideways rather than down, so they stay out of the way of walking. Squeeze through a doorway and they fold back, then spring out again.

Bend all eight the same way for a spider mid-scuttle, or splay them flat for the full tarantula. They hold the shape until you bend them again.
The wire is also why this is a costume for supervised wear. A dog that chews the legs can get through the plush to the wire — if the legs become a toy, the costume comes off.
Fastening
Two Velcro straps
One strap closes around the neck and a wider one around the chest. Between them they spread the weight, so the body stays centred on the back instead of sliding round to one side.

Questions people ask
Which size do I need?
Measure around the chest just behind the front legs and pick the size whose chest range covers it. The ranges overlap; if two sizes fit, let the neck measurement decide.
Can it go in the washing machine?
No. The wire in the legs bends out of shape in a machine and can work through the plush. Spot clean with a damp cloth.
Is it safe for a dog that chews?
Not unsupervised. The legs have wire inside. For a chewer, it is a costume for the photo, then off.
How is it different from your furry tarantula costume?
This one has smooth plush legs you can bend and pose, and comes in five sizes up to a medium dog. The tarantula has long shaggy legs and comes in two sizes for cats and small dogs.
Can my pet wear it all evening?
For photos and a short while, yes — but not unsupervised. A costume is dress-up, not clothing. Take it off if your pet pants, freezes, scratches at it or tries to reverse out of it, and never leave a pet alone in costume: straps and ties can snag.
Will it arrive before Halloween?
Delivery estimates show at checkout, and tracking is emailed as soon as the parcel ships. Costumes come from our supplier's warehouse, so give it time — ordering in the first half of October is the safe side of the date.
