How to order

Add the name and phone number in the box above the add to basket button, exactly as you want them engraved. What you type is what gets cut — check the number twice.

Each collar is engraved to order, so allow a couple of days on top of normal handling before it ships. For the same reason, an engraved collar cannot be returned for a change of mind about the spelling.

Sizing

Measure the neck, then size up if in doubt

Five sizes cover a 23 cm chihuahua neck up to a 62 cm retriever. Run a tape around the base of the neck and allow two fingers of slack.

The three larger sizes are 2.5 cm wide, the two smaller ones 2 cm — wider webbing spreads the pressure on a bigger dog.

Questions people ask

Where do I type the name?

There is a box on this page just above the add to basket button. Put the name and the phone number in there exactly as you want them engraved.

How much text fits?

A name on one line and a phone number underneath. Long names are engraved smaller to fit; if you send more than that we will email you before cutting.

Can I change it after ordering?

Only if it has not gone to the engraver yet. Email us straight away. Once it is cut, an engraved collar cannot be resold, so it cannot come back for a change of mind about the spelling.

Which size should I get?

Measure around the base of the neck and allow two fingers of slack. Between two sizes, take the larger — the ranges overlap.

Is velvet practical on a dog?

For everyday wear and dry walks, yes. It is not the collar for a dog that swims daily or rolls in mud — keep a webbing collar for that and save this one for the rest of the time.

30-day returns. Items must be unused and in their original packaging. Email support@thetinypet.com to start a return.

Shipping. Standard shipping is $5.95 and free on orders over $49. Express is $14.95. Orders leave us within 1-2 business days; standard delivery usually takes another 5-9 business days, express 2-4. We ship within the Australia only.

Returns. Unopened items can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund to your original payment method. Food and treats can only be returned unopened.

If an order arrives damaged or incorrect, email a photo to support@thetinypet.com with your order number. We will replace or refund it and cover the return shipping. Full detail on the Shipping & Returns page.

Sizing. Measure your pet nose to base of tail and compare with the measurements in the description. Breed names are a poor guide - two dogs of the same breed can be 4 kg apart.

Washing. Beds and blankets are machine washable unless the description says otherwise. Wash covers separately, warm not hot, and tumble dry low so the filling keeps its shape.

Introducing something new. Change food gradually over about a week, mixing an increasing share of the new food in. Put a new bed where the old one was rather than somewhere better.

Safety. Supervise play with plush and rope toys, and put wand toys away between sessions. No toy is indestructible.
