Three jobs, one handle.

A misting brush that covers the three things you actually do to a coat: damp it down, work through it, and take the dead hair out. The tank takes plain water, and there is a negative-ion setting intended to cut static in a dry coat.

Why misting helps

Static is what makes brushing a fight

A dry coat charges up, the hair stands away from the brush and half of it ends up airborne. A light mist stops that, which is why groomers damp a coat before they touch it.

The tank is small on purpose — it is there to damp the coat, not to wash the animal.

Three uses

Bath time, everyday brushing, shedding season

Use it wet during a bath to work shampoo through, dry between baths as a massage brush, and on the shedding weeks to lift out coat that would otherwise end up on the sofa.

It is a soft-pin brush, so it suits short and medium coats. A heavy double coat still needs a rake first.

Questions people ask

What is the negative ion setting for?

It is intended to reduce static in a dry coat so the hair lies down and stays on the brush. Treat it as a comfort feature rather than a grooming result.

Can I use it in the bath?

Yes — that is one of the three intended uses. Dry the head afterwards rather than leaving it wet.

Will it get a double coat out?

Partly. For a husky or a shedding retriever, use an undercoat rake first and this afterwards to finish.

Sizing. Measure your pet nose to base of tail and compare with the measurements in the description. Breed names are a poor guide - two dogs of the same breed can be 4 kg apart.

Washing. Beds and blankets are machine washable unless the description says otherwise. Wash covers separately, warm not hot, and tumble dry low so the filling keeps its shape.

Introducing something new. Change food gradually over about a week, mixing an increasing share of the new food in. Put a new bed where the old one was rather than somewhere better.

Safety. Supervise play with plush and rope toys, and put wand toys away between sessions. No toy is indestructible.
