Hair removal
The hair comes off. Nothing goes in the bin.
A sticky roller gives you a sheet of rubbish for every jumper. This is a 20 x 15 cm pad on an elastic band — wipe it across the fabric, lift the line of hair off, and rinse it under the tap when it stops gripping. There is nothing to run out of.

What it does
Takes hair off fabric, not out of a coat
It is for the hair that has already landed: on a jumper, the sofa, the passenger seat, the pet bed. The bristled face grips loose hair and rolls it into a ridge you can pinch off in one piece.
You can also stroke it over a shedding cat or dog to lift the hair that is already loose in the coat — but it takes surface hair only. It will not pull dead undercoat out; that is a rake's job.
Both directions
Brush left, brush right, keep going
Most hair tools only grip one way, so half of every stroke is wasted travel. The bristles here are angled so both directions collect, and the hair gathers towards the middle of the pad instead of piling up at one end.

Using it
Four steps, one of which is a tap
Put your hand through the band, wipe, pinch the hair off, and when the pad eventually stops gripping, rinse it and let it dry. No soap needed.
Dry surfaces only. On anything damp or greasy the hair sticks to the fabric instead of the pad, and you end up smearing it around. That is the maker's own warning and it is worth repeating.

Good to know
Questions people ask
Is this a grooming brush?
Not really. It lifts hair that is already loose on the surface of a coat, which is useful after a brush. It will not reach dead undercoat — for that you want the double-sided deshedding rake we sell.
How is it different from the long-handle hair remover?
Reach. This is on your hand, for a jumper you are about to put on or the corner of a car seat. The long-handle one extends to 58 cm and is for cat trees, floors and the back of a sofa you cannot kneel behind.
How do I clean it?
Rinse the bristled face under a tap and let it air dry. No detergent. It goes back to gripping once it is dry.
Does it work on carpet?
On a rug or a car mat, yes — you will be on your knees for anything larger. It is a hand tool, not a floor tool.
Why not on wet fabric?
Damp fibres hold hair much harder than the pad does, so instead of lifting the hair you push it flat into the weave. Let the fabric dry first.
Which hand does it fit?
Either. It is a band rather than a fingered glove, so there is no left or right.
