Fit

Measure before you order

The strip is 60 cm long and flexes into the arch. Most generic arch groomers take a strip in this range, but frames differ — measure the channel on yours before ordering, and check the strip is held by a slot rather than glued.

It is PVC, so it takes a curve without cracking and washes under a tap.

Questions people ask

Does this include the arch and the base?

No. It is the bristle strip on its own. We say it in the title, in the first paragraph and here, because the supplier photos show a complete groomer and we would rather over-explain than take a return.

Will it fit my groomer?

It fits arch groomers that hold a 60 cm slotted strip, which covers most of the generic ones. Measure yours first. If the bristles on yours are glued rather than slotted, this will not fit.

Why buy a spare strip at all?

The bristles are the part that wears out; the frame almost never does. Replacing the strip is cheaper than replacing the whole thing.

Sizing. Measure your pet nose to base of tail and compare with the measurements in the description. Breed names are a poor guide - two dogs of the same breed can be 4 kg apart.

Washing. Beds and blankets are machine washable unless the description says otherwise. Wash covers separately, warm not hot, and tumble dry low so the filling keeps its shape.

Introducing something new. Change food gradually over about a week, mixing an increasing share of the new food in. Put a new bed where the old one was rather than somewhere better.

Safety. Supervise play with plush and rope toys, and put wand toys away between sessions. No toy is indestructible.
